Human-Nature?

Curator / Creative Producer / Exhibition Architect

An interactive land-art exhibition exploring a fundamental question: is the human being a part of nature or its opposite? The project was born from discovered artifacts — old teapots, cans, batteries, children’s toys, and remnants of Soviet-era waste collected by volunteers from the Wild Nature movement. These traces of civilization, buried in the mountains for decades, became the central exhibits of the waste exhibition. The installations were embedded into the ground and illuminated with red light — a symbol of alarm. Each artifact was given a voice, performed by actors in Kazakh, Russian, and English. The waste “complained” about its fate, inviting viewers to bend down, look closer, and listen to what is usually ignored. The project received recognition from the President of Kazakhstan and became a notable example of ecological curatorship — where art transforms into a space of responsibility.
